About Me

Hi, my name is Shahnaz. I am a Seattle-based nutritionist and Registered Dietitian. My journey began in the Middle East, where I was born and raised in a culture that views food as a source of nourishment, connection, joy, and love. My passion for whole foods began with my mother’s traditional cooking, as she prepared meals from scratch each day. Having lived in three countries, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the unique ways cultures approach food. This inspired me to become a dietitian, promoting a balanced, holistic approach that suits diverse lifestyles.

I earned my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Bastyr University in Washington and completed my dietetic internship there, where I worked in hospitals, clinics, and private practice settings.

I’m here to partner with you in creating a personalized nutrition plan that aligns with your needs, supports sustainable choices for lasting health, and helps prevent chronic disease. Together, we’ll collaborate on meal plans that empower you to achieve your goals, celebrating each step along the way.

In my free time, I enjoy experimenting with new recipes, sharing meals with family and friends, practicing yoga, and hiking.
